Description

Grilled Yogurt-Marinated Chicken Breasts are juicy, flavorful, and packed with Mediterranean tang thanks to Greek yogurt, garlic, lemon, and spices.

Ingredients

Scale

2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup plain Greek yogurt

3 tbsp olive oil

Juice of 1 lemon

4 garlic cloves, minced

1 tbsp dried oregano

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp onion powder

½ tsp cumin (optional for depth)

Salt & pepper to taste

Fresh parsley and lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

1. In a bowl, whisk together yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, paprika, onion powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.

2. Add chicken to the marinade. Massage well. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.

3. Preheat grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil grates.

4. Remove chicken from marinade and grill 5–6 minutes per side, until cooked through (165°F internal temperature).

5. Transfer to a plate, cover loosely with foil, and rest 5 minutes.

6. Garnish with parsley and lemon wedges. Serve.

Notes

Do not marinate more than 24 hours to avoid mushy texture.

Use a meat thermometer to avoid overcooking.

Scrape excess marinade to prevent burning on grill.
