Scale
- 8 mini croissants (or 8 standard croissants, halved)
- 1 lb deli turkey slices
- 8 slices Swiss cheese (or provolone), folded to fit
- 2 tbsp melted butter (for brushing)
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional, for extra flavor)
- 1 tsp honey (optional, for a light sweet glaze)
- 1 egg (for egg wash, optional—adds shine)
- 1 tbsp water (if using egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Slice croissants open (don’t cut all the way through if you want them to hold together).
- Layer turkey and Swiss cheese inside each croissant. Place on the baking sheet.
- For a glossy top: whisk egg + water and lightly brush the croissants (optional).
- Brush with melted butter (and mix in Dijon + honey if using).
- Bake 10–12 minutes, until cheese is melted and croissants are golden and warm.
- Serve immediately—best enjoyed hot and melty.
Notes
- Use fresh croissants for best texture.
- Customize with additional fillings like lettuce, tomato, or avocado.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days (reheat before serving).
