Description

A simple and delicious turkey melt sandwich with gooey melted cheese and seasoned turkey, perfect for a quick lunch.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices rustic bread
  • 3 slices deli turkey
  • 2 slices white melting cheese
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon mayonnaise
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Spread the softened butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. On the inside of one bread slice, spread the mayonnaise.
  3. Layer the turkey and cheese over the bread, then sprinkle with black pepper and chopped parsley if using.
  4. Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side facing out.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium-low heat.
  6. Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook for 3 to 4 minutes on each side, pressing gently, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
  7. Remove from the pan, slice into halves or quarters, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated cheese for better melting.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste.
