Description

This dish combines sweet and savory flavors that please your taste buds and nourish your body. It’s easy to make and perfect for busy days. Tender chicken, fresh veggies, and a sticky garlic sauce come together in a delightful way.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients:

For the Chicken:

  • 1 lb chicken breast, diced

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp sriracha

  • 1 tbsp honey

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp arrowroot powder (or cornstarch)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

For the Sides:

  • 1 cup green beans, trimmed

  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced

  • Salt, pepper, garlic powder to taste

  • 1 tbsp olive oil (divided for sautéing)

Instructions

How to Make It:

1️⃣ Sear the Chicken:

  • In a hot skillet with olive oil, cook diced chicken until golden. This is your high-protein dinner win and a go-to weeknight meal base.

2️⃣ Make the Sticky Sauce:

  • In a bowl, whisk soy sauce, sriracha, honey, garlic, and arrowroot powder. Pour over chicken and simmer until thick and glossy—flavor explosion incoming and sticky-sweet perfection.

3️⃣ Sauté the Mushrooms:

  • In another pan, cook mushrooms with olive oil, salt, and garlic powder until tender and golden. This adds a meaty veggie bite and a low-carb umami hit.

4️⃣ Crisp the Green Beans:

  • Sauté green beans in olive oil, season to taste, and cook until just tender. These are your crunchy green sidekick and fresh, fiber-filled bonus.

5️⃣ Build the Bowl:

  • Plate the sticky chicken over a bed of rice, then add mushrooms and green beans on the side for a full-flavor, nutrient-packed dinner bowl.

Notes

Cooking Note

Make sure the sauce thickens slightly in the pan before serving—it’ll cling better to the chicken. You can use cornstarch instead of arrowroot powder, and adjust sriracha for more or less heat. Great for meal prep!
