Description

A light, flaky twist on classic pizza with fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil on puff pastry.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1/2 cup pizza or marinara sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella OR sliced fresh mozzarella
  • 12 ripe tomatoes, sliced
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out puff pastry onto parchment paper on a baking sheet. Lightly score a 1-inch border around the edges.
  2. Spread marinara sauce evenly within the border. Layer mozzarella over the sauce.
  3. Arrange tomato slices on top of the cheese. Sprinkle with oregano, salt, pepper, and drizzle with olive oil.
  4. Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until puff pastry is golden and cheese is melted and bubbly.
  5. Add fresh basil leaves just before serving. Slice and enjoy warm.
