Ingredients

  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Marinate shrimp with buttermilk, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper for 15–20 minutes.
  2. Coat shrimp in a mixture of flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
  3. Fry shrimp in oil at 350°F for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
  4. Prepare sauce by warming honey, hot sauce, butter, and chili flakes.
  5. Toss fried shrimp in the sauce and serve with ranch or blue cheese dip.
