Description

Garlic Butter Grilled Lobster Tails is a simple yet elegant seafood dish featuring succulent lobster tails basted in a rich garlic lemon butter sauce. Perfect for a special dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lobster tails (68 oz each)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (plus lemon wedges for serving)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (or chives)

Instructions

  1. Prep lobster tails: Using kitchen shears, cut down the top of each shell to the tail fin. Gently loosen the meat and lift it to sit on top of the shell (but keep it attached at the base).
  2. Make garlic butter: In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Baste: Brush lobster meat generously with the garlic butter.
  4. Cook: Grill method: Preheat grill to medium-high. Grill tails shell-side down for 6–8 minutes, basting once or twice, until meat is opaque and reaches 140–145°F. Broil method: Place on a baking sheet. Broil on high 5–8 minutes (about 6 inches from heat), basting once, until opaque and 140–145°F.
  5. Finish & serve: Spoon extra garlic butter over the top. Sprinkle with parsley/chives and serve with lemon wedges.
