- 6 slices bread (thick-cut, multigrain or your favorite)
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce (or marinara)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/3 cup diced bell peppers (red + yellow)
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh herbs (basil or parsley)
- 12 black olive slices (or 6 whole olives, one per toast)
- Optional: pinch of Italian seasoning, crushed red pepper, or garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place bread slices on the baking sheet. Spread each slice with pizza sauce.
- Sprinkle generously with mozzarella.
- Top with diced bell peppers, herbs, and black olives.
- Bake 8–12 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly and bread edges are crisp.
- Serve warm (broil 1–2 minutes at the end for extra browning if you want).
