Description

Easy and juicy slow cooker chicken drumsticks seasoned with herbs and spices, perfect for a family dinner.


Ingredients

  • 8 chicken legs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken legs dry with paper towels.
  2. Rub the chicken legs with olive oil.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over all the chicken legs.
  5. Add the chicken broth, butter, and minced garlic to the bottom of the slow cooker.
  6. Place the seasoned chicken legs into the slow cooker in a single layer as much as possible.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours or on high for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
  8. For more color, place the cooked chicken legs on a baking sheet and broil for 2 to 3 minutes before serving.
  9. Spoon some of the slow cooker juices over the chicken and serve warm.

Notes

  • You can substitute drumsticks with chicken thighs if preferred.
  • For crispy skin, broil the chicken for an extra 2–3 minutes after slow cooking.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
