Description

A creamy and flavorful shrimp alfredo pasta dish that’s easy to make and perfect for a family dinner.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1½ cups heavy cream
  • ¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • ¼ cup reserved pasta water
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti in salted water according to package directions. Reserve ¼ cup pasta water, then drain.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Stir in Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning until sauce is smooth and thickened.
  6. Add cooked spaghetti and reserved pasta water, tossing to coat.
  7. Return shrimp to the skillet and gently mix until warmed through.
  8. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and texture.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste.
