Sausage Pasta in a Creamy Tomato Sauce

Ingredients:

🔹 For the Pasta:

  • 200g rotini or fusilli pasta
  • 2 sausages (Italian or your choice), sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

🔹 For the Creamy Tomato Sauce:

  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
  • Salt & black pepper to taste

🔹 For Garnish:

  • Extra Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

Step by Step:

1️⃣ Cook the Pasta:

  • Boil pasta according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.

2️⃣ Cook the Sausages:

  • Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • Add sliced sausages and cook until browned and cooked through.
  • Remove from pan and set aside.

3️⃣ Make the Sauce:

  • In the same pan, add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Add tomato sauce, heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, basil, and red pepper flakes.
  • Stir and let the sauce simmer for 5 minutes.

4️⃣ Combine the Pasta & Sausage:

  • Add the cooked pasta and sausages into the sauce.
  • Toss to coat evenly and simmer for another 2-3 minutes.

5️⃣ Serve & Garnish:

  • Plate the pasta and top with extra Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.
