Description
Creamy Ranch Chicken Skillet is a rich and comforting one-pan meal that combines tender chicken with a garlic-infused ranch cream sauce.
Ingredients
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt & black pepper to taste
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 ½ cups chicken stock
3 tbsp sour cream (room temperature)
1 tbsp ranch seasoning (store-bought or homemade)
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
1. Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
2. Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
3. Sear the chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
4. Add remaining 1 tbsp butter and garlic to the skillet; sauté for 30 seconds.
5. Sprinkle in flour and stir to form a roux.
6. Slowly whisk in chicken stock, simmer until slightly thickened.
7. Stir in sour cream and ranch seasoning; whisk until smooth.
8. Return the chicken to the skillet, coat with the sauce, and heat for another 2–3 minutes.
9. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
Use chicken thighs for a juicier result.
Can be paired with mashed potatoes, rice, or steamed veggies.
Add a splash of heavy cream for extra richness.
