Description

Creamy Garlic Herb Chicken is a comforting one-pan dish with tender chicken breasts simmered in a buttery garlic sauce, perfect for serving over mashed potatoes or veggies.


Ingredients

Scale

4 boneless skinless chicken breasts

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp garlic powder

Salt & pepper to taste

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp butter

Garlic Herb Sauce:

3 tbsp unsalted butter

4 garlic cloves, minced

1 tbsp flour

1 cup chicken broth

½ cup heavy cream

1 tsp Dijon mustard

1 tsp dried thyme or Italian seasoning

Salt & pepper to taste

Fresh parsley for garnish


Instructions

1. Season chicken with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

2. Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.

3. Sear chicken on both sides until golden and cooked through; set aside.

4. In the same skillet, melt 3 tbsp butter and sauté garlic.

5. Whisk in flour and cook 1 minute to form a roux.

6. Slowly whisk in chicken broth and simmer to thicken.

7. Add cream, Dijon mustard, thyme, salt, and pepper; simmer 2–3 minutes.

8. Return chicken to skillet and coat with sauce; simmer 3–5 minutes.

9. Garnish with parsley and serve with sides.

Notes

Do not boil the cream to prevent curdling.

Use a thermometer to ensure chicken is 165°F.

Add a splash of broth if sauce thickens too much during reheating.
