Description

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded whole-milk mozzarella cheese
  • ¾ cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • Fresh basil leaves, torn
  • Cornmeal or flour for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 475°F with a pizza stone or baking sheet inside.
  2. Roll pizza dough into a 12-inch round on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Transfer dough to parchment paper dusted with cornmeal.
  4. Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border.
  5. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
  6. Arrange pepperoni slices across the pizza.
  7. Drizzle lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with oregano and red pepper flakes.
  8. Transfer pizza (with parchment) onto the hot stone or baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 12–15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
  10. Remove from oven, garnish with fresh basil, slice, and serve hot.
