Description

A delicious and easy-to-make Chicken Philly Sandwich with melty cheese and sautéed peppers.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large chicken breasts, cooked & shredded
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 yellow onion, sliced
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional for heat)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese
  • 2 hoagie rolls or sub buns
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil and cook sliced onions and bell peppers until soft and slightly charred.
  2. Add the shredded chicken to the skillet with garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and chili flakes. Stir until well coated and heated through.
  3. Sprinkle cheese over the chicken mixture in the skillet. Cover for a couple of minutes to let it melt.
  4. Lightly toast your hoagie rolls.
  5. Stuff each roll with the hot cheesy chicken and veggie filling. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Adjust chili flakes to your preferred heat level.
  • Use provolone cheese for a more authentic Philly flavor.
