Description
A delicious and easy-to-make cheesy chicken sandwich with tender chicken, caramelized onions, and melted cheese on a hoagie roll.

- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
- 4 hoagie rolls
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 yellow onion, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 6 slices provolone or American cheese
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add sliced chicken, season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper, and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and add onions and bell peppers. Sauté until soft and lightly caramelized.
- Return chicken to the skillet and toss with the vegetables.
- Lay cheese slices over the chicken mixture and cover the pan until melted.
- Spoon the cheesy chicken mixture into toasted hoagie rolls.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- Use provolone or American cheese for best results.
- Toast the hoagie rolls lightly for extra crunch.
