Description
A quick and easy one-pan dinner combining ground beef, tater tots, and melted cheese for a comforting meal.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp ketchup (optional)
- 1 tbsp mustard (optional)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- 3–4 cups frozen tater tots
- 1 tbsp oil (if needed)
- Optional toppings: chopped pickles, green onions, bacon bits, hot sauce
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and onion; cook until browned. Drain excess grease if needed, then add garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Stir in ketchup and mustard if using. Let simmer for 1–2 minutes.
- Add frozen tater tots and gently gently mix to coat. Cover and cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tots should be hot and starting to crisp.
- Sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheese over the top. Cover again for 3–5 minutes until cheese melts.
- Finish with optional toppings if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
- Use cast iron for best results.
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
