Description

Fluffy Air Fryer Churro Bites are a quick and easy dessert with a crispy cinnamon sugar coating. Perfect for a sweet snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • Cooking spray
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (for coating)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted (for brushing)
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream or half-and-half (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add water, sugar, salt, and butter. Bring to a simmer.
  2. Reduce heat to low and stir in flour all at once. Stir vigorously until a smooth dough forms and pulls away from the sides (about 1 minute).
  3. Transfer dough to a bowl and let cool 5 minutes. Stir in vanilla.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each, until the dough is smooth, glossy, and pipeable.
  5. Preheat air fryer to 375°F for 3 minutes. Line the basket with parchment (air fryer-safe) and lightly spray.
  6. Pipe or scoop dough into 1-inch bites (use a piping bag or zip-top bag with the corner snipped). Leave space between pieces and lightly spray tops with cooking spray.
  7. Air fry 6–8 minutes, shaking once halfway, until golden and puffed. Cook in batches as needed.
  8. Brush warm bites with melted butter. Toss in cinnamon sugar until fully coated.
  9. Optional dip: Heat cream until steaming (microwave 30–45 seconds), pour over chocolate chips, rest 1 minute, then stir smooth. Serve alongside churro bites.

Notes

  • Use a piping bag for uniform churro bites.
  • Serve warm for best texture.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
